Tips that save you a re-upload

Export at 72 DPI sRGB JPEG or PNG. Instagram strips colour profiles, so embed sRGB before upload.
Keep file size under 30 MB for photos and 650 MB for video reels.
Vertical wins. Portrait 4:5 feed posts take 25% more screen than square. Reels at 9:16 take everything.
For carousels with mixed orientation, the first slide's ratio defines the whole post - don't mix landscape and portrait.
